Superior Landscaping is a Commercial and Residential landscaping company located at 1580 Columbia Turnpike in Castleton, NY with clients throughout the Capital Region.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a full-time landscape laborer who is hard working, ambitious, and enjoys being outdoors. This is a flexible position with opportunity to grow. One day a week will be spent mowing Commercial lawns, the rest will be landscape projects. Experience with landscaping operations & equipment is required. Experience towing trailers is preferred but not required. This is a seasonal position, however if the applicant is interested in working over the Winter as well, there are shift opportunities during snowplow season.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Assist in all aspects of landscape installations and maintenance
• Lawn mowing Commercial lawns one day of the work week, the rest will be spent completing various landscaping projects including:
• Spring/Fall cleanups
• Planting trees/shrubs & perennials
• Experience in edging, prepping, and mulching of landscape beds
• Operation of landscape machinery, commercial lawn mowing equipment, snow removal equipment, power and hand tools
• Prospective applicant will be expected to represent the company in a professional manner and excel in all areas of landscape construction and maintenance.
• Other temporary or permanent duties may be assigned at Owners discretion if required for the specific project.

Qualifications Physical Requirements:

• Minimum of at least 1 year of experience landscaping
• A clean, current, and valid driver’s license is required.
• Must have reliable transportation reporting daily to the shop in Castleton (from there will ride with the team to various job sites in provided vehicles.)
• Ability to work 8–10 hour days doing physical labor in summer and winter temperatures
• Applicant must have DOT physical in order to operate landscape vehicles. This will be paid for by the company if one is needed. Additionally, the applicant must be able to lift, push, and/or carry 50 /- pounds.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:00/6:00pm (Saturday hours are available if necessary due to inclement weather or workload, but not mandatory)
Pay: Range of $20.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience
Raises based on performance
